Mini potato stick
This is one of the proof "power of packaging". I bought this product only because of that cute packaging. I got this product from FairPrice Singapore, 1.60sgd.
The
packaging is so cute and creative. It also has hangul or korean
alphabets. It has 6 potato stick characters. They are so cute. There are
burglar, boy with softball stick, mom with apron, dad with moustache
and two office colleages who have 2 cups in their hands. I think it
symbolize that this product is suitable for anyone, anytime. The
packaging is so eye catching and super cute.
As you can see in Nutrition Facts Table, one serving (half of individual package) has 118 kcal calories, 4 g fat, 9 g sugar and 18g carbohydrate. It also has 1 g dietary fiber.
Ingredients consist of wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oil, shortening, potato starch, liquid glucose, whey powder, salt, raising agent and potato flavouring.
As you can see, the main ingredient of this product is wheat flour, so this product is actually cookies with potato starch and using potato flavouring. This mini potato stick concept is more like Nyan Nyan without the chocolate dip.
There
are two individual packs in 1 box. Each pack has serving tray inside it and one individual pack can be
divided into 2 serving. It has 118 kcal per serving. I feel quite full
when I try to finish one serving. So, it is perfect for your tea time
snack.
Initially,
I think this product is mini potato chips - like french fries chips.
But, it is actually potato cookie stick. And term "potato" here is
including potato and sweet potato. These two potato have different taste
(one is almost plain, one is sweet). I have never met sweet potato
flavoured biscuit before. So yes, for me this is an advantage for this
product because of its unique flavour.
It
taste more like sweet potato. The sweetness is mild, not too
overwhelming and sugar coating make it perfect. It is also a bit salty.
It also has sugar on top of it. The
taste is blended nicely. Since I seldom find sweet potato cookies in
the market, this product is worth to try. However, I still prefer eating
sweet potato chips.
